This centerfold leaf from the May 20, 1865 edition of Harper's Weekly presents an incredible Thomas Nast Illustration showing Robert E. Lee and General Ulysses S. Grant at the end of the Civil War. Lee can be surrendering to Mr. Grant. The surrender occurred on Palm Sunday, 1865. The illustration also shows Christ entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, in the year of about 30 A.D.
